Phew, we are on a pasta frolla roll…or a crostata roll:)
If Nutella tart is not your cup of tea, this may just hit the spot!
Once again, nice and easy…
Make the pasta frolla recipe.
As I suggested, this recipe does two medium-sized tarts, so I usually do 2 types…
Great for all fussy greedyboys:)
Great for unwanted, err people who turn up unannounced:)
Choose a really nice jam or even a marmalade is yummy too..
Make the pasta frolla…while its resting, have a coffee!!
Pre heat oven to 175 celsius…
Get a tart tin..I like the ceramic ones…grease it well:)
Roll out dough on a lightly floured board/bench.
Gentle, gentle, gentle…
Gently place pastry in the tin.
Place 400g of jam or marmalade into the pastry.
I used Blackcurrant this time BUT I think raspberry or red plum is better.
Homemade preserves are fabulous….
Whatever you like in the way of jams….
Mmm Fig and apple jam????
Cut the pastry in to stars and shapes and form a pattern on the top of the jam (see below)
Bake for 35 minutes or until pastry is golden.
Remove from oven and cool.
Lovely slightly crumbly base….Melt in the mouth!!
You can dust this with icing sugar but it doesn’t need it…
Its bella by itself:)
Cut a slice whilst warm and enjoy, enjoy and enjoy!!
Cut another piece when cold and repeat enjoying:)
