Guess what else is in season???
My other favorite.
Today I saw something that offered 50 Feijoa recipes….Wooooo
As I really am in Pasta Frolla mode, I have used this wonderful sweet pastry once again…
Make the pastry….
Place the pastry into your moulds and then put the following filling into the cases.
250g sour cream
1/4 cup of melted honey
1-2 tsp of nutmeg.
Place all ingredients, bar the nutmeg into a bowl and mix well.
Place into the pastry cases to 3/4 level and then place a halved fig into the case as well (see piccy).
Sprinkle nutmeg over the filling.
Bake at 180 celsius for 30-35 minutes until pastry is goldy brown on the outside.
And the Figs are lovely cooked in honey and ricotta spooned on them:)
I think it maybe times for figgy sticky buns or figgy jam…
Feijoa sticky buns???
Winters a coming!
